Good Morning From Chicago!
I am happy to be back home and had the most wonderful time in London. Coming home from Europe always gives me that extra sense of changes I want to make in my life and things I want to do. I feel fully renewed and inspired.
As soon as we hit the ground after making an “emergency trip” to Target for “Rex” from Star Wars to honor superb flight behavior from my 4 year old we had to jump back into Central Time and get on with things.
Saturday I went to Families in the Loop’s Underground Dinner Party. I am the Lifestyle Guru for this fantastic group of talented, chic, “in the now”, ladies and gentlemen who share their amazing talents, passions, and love of Chicago collectively to make living as grownups and parents in the City the most fun place to be.
Sunday was ‘Spring Opening Day” for Chicago with 85 degrees and Sunshine. I had to play hooky and spend the day outside with my little guy. We walked to the park to meet friends, grabbed sandwiches at Second City Subs, and had frozen treats from Starfruit as well as a little shopping on Armitage.
Today, I leave for New York City for a quick final details trip for my Spring Central Park Wedding. Final floral and linen samples, menu tasting and walkthroughs. I love these meetings, it’s like the rehearsal and everyone is just so excited to see it all come together. I can’t wait to share this Peony Packed Party in Old School New York Mansion Style.
Don’t forget about London… I have a few great London Posts whirling in my head and a London Luxe List coming… next.
I’m Off to O’Hare… Have a Super Tuesday.
Cheers!
